Shooting leaves one dead and another injured in Ocho Rios

The St Ann police are searching for the person who shot and killed a man and injured another in Ocho Rios last night.

Dead is Shane Mattadeen, otherwise called 'King', 45-year-old of Norbrook Acres Drive, St Andrew and Mahogany Beach, Ocho Rios. The injured is a 26-year-old of an Old Harbour, St Catherine address. 

Reports are that about 10:00 p.m., residents near Mahogany Beach heard explosions and called the police.

Both men were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were transported to the St Ann's Bay Regional Hospital where Mattadeen was pronounced dead and the other admitted.

Investigations are still ongoing.
