Robbery foiled by security guards in Linstead

The St Catherine police have launched a manhunt for two gunmen who attempted to rob a businessman at his home yesterday.

Reports are that about 7:00 p.m., the businessman was being escorted home by security personnel after closing his business.

Upon entering his property in Begonia Lodge, Linstead, he reportedly saw two men lurking in the yard.

The security guards were alerted and upon arriving at the scene, the intruders reportedly fired several shots at them.

The security team managed to repel the attack. The gunmen fled in separate directions.

The complainant's car had bullet holes.

The Linstead Criminal Investigations Branch is probing the matter.
