PNP expresses condolences to Mark Golding and family after his mother's death
The People's National Party (PNP) has expressed condolences to party president Mark Golding, whose mother died last night.
Golding made the announcement of the death of Lady Patricia Golding this morning in a post on X.
“Walk Good Mum. You will forever live on in our hearts and in our memories. We miss and love you,” Golding said.
The PNP confirmed in a media release that his mother died "surrounded by her loving family."
It wrote, "Lady Patricia’s spirit, grace, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a symbol of quiet strength and dignity, deeply cherished by her family and respected by all those whose lives she touched."
Lady Patricia, who was 92 years old, and her late husband Sir John Golding, made significant contributions to Jamaica, most notably the establishment of the Mona Rehabilitation Centre, later renamed the Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre.
