Court date set for farmer 'Bushman' for allegedly chopping man with machete
St Mary farmer Anthony Lewis, otherwise called 'Bushman', is to appear before the Port Maria Parish Court on October 10 for allegedly chopping another man with a machete.
The 64-year-old from Lewis Store, Highgate, is being charged with wounding with intent.
According to the police, on September 27 about 6:30 a.m., while at his home in Bromley district, Lewis got into an argument with another man. Things escalated and the farmer allegedly pulled his machete and chopped the man all over his body.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.
Lewis was subsequently arrested and charged.
