Driver involved in crash which killed two men charged

The driver of the vehicle which fatally hit two motorists who were standing along Washington Boulevard in St Andrew last month has been charged.

Tor Anuar McIntosh of a Kingston 6 address is charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

The deceased are 37-year-old Javaughn Rodney, a motor vehicle inspector of Dagwood Place, Ebonyville, Spanish Town, St Catherine, and 50-year-old businessman, Mark Garrick of Rudolph Avenue, Kingston 20.

The Duhaney Park police say about 3:35 a.m, the two men stopped to assist another along the roadway.  

While standing on the sidewalk, McIntosh allegedly hit Rodney and Garrick with his car. The injured men were taken to hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries

The driver was arrested and later charged.
