St Ann couple arrested on gun and drug charges
The police have arrested and charged a couple following the seizure of a firearm and ganja in Runaway Bay, St Ann, on Sunday.
In custody are 46-year-old wood carver, Omar Henry, otherwise called ‘Smokey’, and 34-year-old shopkeeper, Stacey Allen, otherwise called ‘Chi Chi’, both from the Bellaire Housing Scheme in Runaway Bay.
They are charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, possession of ganja and dealing in ganja.
Reports are that between 4:45 a.m., and 7:30 a.m., during a joint police/military operation, the couple's property was searched.
A Smith and Wesson nine millimetre pistol with a magazine containing three nine millimetre cartridges was allegedly found, along with approximately eight pounds of ganja.
