St Ann singer dies after being beaten to death

Singer, Shawn Geminson, otherwise called 'Shanty' who was severely beaten by a group of men in St Ann has succumbed to his injuries.

This resulted in the police upgrading its case from assault occasioning grievous bodily harm to murder.

The 48-year-old is from Eltham, Ocho Rios in St Ann.

Reports are that around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Geminson was attacked at a house by three men.

The cops found him after responding to a report of a man seen lying on a roadway. 

He was assisted to the St Ann's Bay Regional Hospital for treatment. 

He later died.

The Ocho Rios Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the case.
