Police probing death of assistant funeral director in Portmore

The St Catherine South police are investigating the murder of assistant funeral director, Jevon Lawrence, in St Catherine yesterday.

The 28-year-old is of a Watson Grove, Portmore, address.

Reports are that about 7:15 p.m. Lawrence was pounced upon by unknown assailants while in the community.

He was shot several times.

The police were summoned and the body removed.

No motive has been established in Lawrence's death.
