57-y-o cabbie fatally shot in St Catherine

The Linstead Criminal Investigation Branch is searching for those responsible for the fatal shooting of 57-year-old taxi driver Lester Selvine in St Catherine last night.

Selvine was of a White House Housing Scheme address.

Reports are that about 7:00 p.m. while at a shop in Ewarton along Bowie Road, he was pounced upon by  unknown assailants who shot him in the head.

Selvine was assisted to the Linstead Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No motive has been established for the murder.

This death brings the total number of reported homicides in the St Catherine North Police Division to 85.
