Man attacked by relative with machete in St Mary

The St Mary police are urging anyone with information about an incident that left a man in critical condition after he was attacked by a relative with a machete, to come forward.

According to the police, the 48-year-old man reportedly returned home in the community of Bailey's Vale, to find his bedroom door forced opened and the room ransacked. 

The police said that an argument developed between the man and a family member, during which the relative allegedly attacked him with a machete, inflicting wounds to his head and hand.

The injured man was reportedly rushed to the Port Maria Hospital by residents, where he is being treated for chop wounds.
