Update | 'Squeeze' charged over gun and cocaine found in his home

Twenty-eight-year-old Shackeem Porter, also called 'Squeeze', has been charged over the cocaine and illegal firearm found in his home in Trench Town, Kingston.

He is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

Porter is set to go to court on January 20.

Reports from the Trench Town police are that about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, lawmen conducted an operation at Porter's home on Upper First Street in Trench Town.

While searching, the police team reportedly found a Taurus G2c pistol with a magazine affixed containing ten 9mm rounds of ammunition.

They also allegedly found a clear bag containing a white hard substance resembling cocaine.

On Tuesday, December 31, he was charged.
