St Ann farmer killed by falling tree

The St Ann police are investigating the death of a farmer after a tree that he was cutting down fell on him.

Dead is Richard Johnson , a 45-year-old farmer of Walkerswood district.

Reports are that about 2:45 p.m., January 8, Johnson was cutting a tree in the neighbourhood of Cottage in the parish.

The large tree said to have fell on Johnson severely injuring him.

He was assisted to the St Ann's Bay Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Moneague police are investigating the matter.
