Man allegedly caught on camera setting woman's house on fire

A man who goes by "Bus-Head" has been charged for allegedly caught on camera setting a woman's house on fire in the community of Galina, St Mary on Monday.

Daniel Campbell, 24, is charged with arson.

Reports from the Port Maria Police are that at about 6:10 a.m., a woman woke up to the smell of smoke and discovered that her front door was on fire.

She quickly extinguished the flames using a bucket of water.

Footages from her CCTV system revealed Campbell entering and leaving her premises at the time the fire had started.

Damages to the door were valued at $5,000.

A report was made to the police and Campbell was subsequently arrested and charged.

His court date is being arranged.
