Controversial Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) member Everald Warmington has yet again apologised for a misstep, this time for dropping the 'F bomb' on stage during a political meeting in Westmoreland.

His latest infraction came at a JLP meeting in Westmoreland Central where he used colourful language in a bid to persuade Labourites not to withdraw support from embattled Member of Parliament George Wright.

"Don't stay home. Put the X beside the (expletive redacted) bell," Warmington said.

Wright has found himself in a pickle since 2021 after the surfacing of a disturbing video. The gravity of the situation led to him being forced to break from the JLP in Parliament and sit as an independent. However, with a general election looming, the JLP once again embraced Wright and has put him forward as its standard-bearer for Westmoreland Central. The move, however, is not one that is widely welcomed within the constituency, but Warmington, like other party members have urged Labourites to vote for party leader Dr Andrew Holness indirectly, by voting for Wright.

"Shut yuh eye and vote for Andrew Holness" if they dislike their MP, Warmington said.

But having gone overboard by using profanity, Warmington, in a statement released by the JLP, said he was sorry.

"I recognise that my comments on the platform yesterday were inappropriate and I regret offending anyone with the comments I made. So I do withdraw the comments and apologise."
