Taxi man charged with murder

Shane Reid, 30, a taxi operator of Job Lane, Christiana, Manchester, has been charged with murder, following an incident in Sedburgh, Christiana, on August 15.

The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Richard Blake, a farmer of Grove Town district, also in the parish. Reports indicate that at 9 p.m., an argument developed between both men, during which knives were drawn and a fight ensued. After citizens intervened and the fight ended, Blake was seen with multiple stab wounds to the upper body. The police were summoned and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Reid was arrested and subsequently charged after a question-and-answer session. His court date is being finalised.
