Roots Rock Runway rules Trench Town Culture Yard
Roots Rock Runway, a celebration of reggae and Rastafarian style and fashion, unfolded over the weekend at Culture Yard in Trench Town, the former home of reggae icon Bob Marley.
Organised by California-based reggae singer and fashion designer Tuff Like Iron, the event was shaped around showing love, unity, joy and great vibes in the community.
"My fashion and Tuff Like Iron clothing line is inspired by true authentic reggae/Rastafarian culture," said Tuff Like Iron, who was born in New York City to an American mother and a Vincentian father and "rooted" in Jamaica.
The event featured a stunning fashion show with models strutting down the catwalk in bold, colourful outfits inspired by Jamaica's rich heritage. Live performances added to the energetic atmosphere. Sticking to his roots, singer Goldy Bad Lion 'shelled' the place with No War. Also giving the event a buzz was Tuff Like Iron herself, along with Belize.
Roots Rock Runway was a testament to the power of creativity and self-expression, providing a platform for artistes and designers to shine.
