Admittedly not yet at their efficient and ruthless best, Miguel Coley, head coach of defending Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association ISSA/FLOW Manning Cup champions, Jamaica College is confident the 'dark blues' will be stronger, following their first round experimentation.

"First round for us is always about rotating and finding the right fix, especially for the last two games so we go into the second round, rotating as much as possible and seeing the players, especially the fact that I wasn't here for the summer," Coley said.

The reigning Manning Cup, Flow Super Cup and Olivier Shield champions have their sights on defending all three titles.

They topped Group A with 10 points with a superior goal difference over Calabar.

Of four games played, their only missed points were in the 2-2 draw with Calabar in their opening game.

"I am trying to fit the team in the best position so we have leaders in every department and players who can win games in every department also," he said.

"It's always good to win, but it's just the fact that goals have been scored on us. We have been going on a path of clean sheet, and it's something that we want to continue with because that is what is important in terms of championships," Coley said.

He added that conceding goals was the most disappointment from a performance perspective.

"In terms of the way we play, in terms of composure, in terms of being in good spaces and winning the first ball and second ball we are very good. We are too easy, we are not being tested somewhat, especially in our defending," said Coley, who is also national assistant coach.
