Pepsi to refresh Super Cup

PEPSI Cola Jamaica has again pledged its support for the second annual Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association/FLOW Super Cup Competition which was launched at the Montego Bay Conventional Centre on Tuesday, October 6.

Speaking with excitement at the launch event, Elizabeth Swaby, Brand Manager for Carbonated Beverages at Pepsi Cola Jamaica noted that the company is pleased to be on board for another year of the prestigious football competition.

"As an active supporter of sport development in the island, we are happy to lend our support yet again. We know the value that the Flow Super Cup brings to secondary schools and the development of football in Jamaica, so we are honoured to be a part of the competition," Swaby said.

The Super Cup competition has breathed new life, energy and excitement into football at the secondary school level.

The competition is a single knockout tournament between the winners of the eight daCosta Cup inter-zone rounds going up against the eight zone winners in the Manning Cup competition. The teams will not only be vying for the top prize of $1 million in cash along with other prizes, but the boosting rights of the National School Boy Knockout Champion.

The competition is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, October 24 with triple headers in Montego Bay and Kingston.

The venues for the competition this year will be Montego Bay Sports Complex in St. James, and the Sabina Park and the National Stadium in Kingston.

Admission for the games at all the venues is $500 for grand stand and $200 for bleachers.
