"I'm in a very good place"- Stephenie-Ann McPherson

Jamaica's Stephenie-Ann McPherson ran a pretty balanced race and was pleased with her 50.40 effort, but she had no answer for hotshot Bahamian Shaunae Miller in their 400m  clash at the London Diamond League.

Miller, who continues her dominating season, lowered her personal best to 49.55 seconds - the fastest time in the world this year with Natasha Hastings finishing third in 50.49 inside a loud London Olympic Stadium.

"I'm really happy with that time especially considering I had a very hard training session yesterday with another one tomorrow evening," McPherson told The Gleaner.

"After some setback over the past few season I'm feeling very good now and this time tells me I'm in a very good place," she added.

McPherson was coming off a six-race winning streak, which included wins at the Oslo Diamond League and the National Senior Championships.
