India pile on more trouble for Windies
ST JOHN'S (CMC):
India defeated West Indies by 93 runs in the third One-Day International of the five-match series at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Set a challenging total of 252 to win, the Windies buckled to 158 all out in 38 overs and one ball. Jason Mohammas 40 led the West Indies scoring. He had support from Rovman Powell with 30 and Shai Hope with 24.
Ravi Ahman and Kuldeep Yadav proved the West Indies' undoing with three wickets apiece.
India had earlier been sent in by the West Indies, who won the toss.
The tourists reached 251 for four off their allotted 50 overs
M.S. Dhoni was left unbeaten on 78 not out, with good support from Ajinkya Rahane 72.
Kedar Jadhav was also not out on 40, with the other top scorer Yuvraj Singh, making 39 against Miguel Cummins 2-56.
