Tired legs affecting Rusea's - Reynolds

Coach Vassell Reynolds is not pleased with Rusea's' performance particularly after defeating Hopewell High 4-0 in their ISSA/FLOW daCosta Cup, Zone B encounter at the Rusea's School Grounds on Thursday despite what would appear to be positive results.

"I wasn't pleased at all, in terms of the performance," Reynolds said. "By now I expect the team to be performing much better despite getting positive results."

Coach Reynolds said his team's performance lacked intensity and thought his boys were complacent. He also believes tired legs could be a factor. He, however, mentioned that the rotation of the squad should enable them to play with more pace, regardless of the circumstances, and thought they were lethargic in their approach.

"I warned the boys before the game about complacency. This is a team we would have beaten 8-1 in the first leg and I think we were very lethargic and complacent in this game. I think up to the last game we would have shown some improvements though."

"Then again we looking at three games in six days, it's very difficult on the legs of the players even though we are trying the rotations with the five changes allowed," Reynolds said.

Rusea's are undefeated in their seven games to date. Though Reynolds is not pleased with their overall performance, he believes they will get there as they are improving steadily.

"I think we're improving steadily despite not comfortable with the overall performance. We are trying to improve on possessing the ball more and looking more comfortable and composed on the ball also." Reynolds said.
