Cavalier FC will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they take on defending champions Portmore United in their Red Stripe Premier League encounter at the Stadium East Field tomorrow.

Cavalier, who were beaten by Portmore in the semi-finals of last year's competition, are coming off a 1-0 defeat to the UWI.

Prior to that, the Rudolph Speid-coached unit had recorded victories over Reno and Arnett Gardens to start the season.

Speid said that his team has done well against Portmore over the years and that he is confident that they will put on a good showing tomorrow.

"Over the years, we have done well against Portmore, but they have a fairly good team. It is going to be a tough encounter, but playing at home, we are quietly confident that we can get all three points in this game," said Speid.

"We thought we shouldn't have lost that game against UWI, but all the teams are close, so we know that if we play our best on any given game, we can come out on top," Speid said.

He pointed out that his team has done well in its preparation for the game and that his players are upbeat and looking forward to the contest.

"We did some things in training this week which will help us to perform much better in this encounter," Speid said.

Cavalier will welcome the return of Nicholas Hamilton after a one-match ban and Chevone Marsh, who did not play in their last game.

Portmore, who are seeking their second victory of the season, were held to a 0-0 draw by Humble Lion in their last game.
