Having recorded identical 1-0 first-leg victories in their opening matches, Wolmer's Boys and Camperdown High will be aiming to secure their spots in the quarterfinals of the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup competition when they take on Denham Town High and Excelsior High in their respective return matches at the Stadium East field today.

In the opening encounter of the double-header at 1 p.m. Excelsior will tackle Camperdown, while at 3 p.m. Wolmer's Boys will oppose Denham Town.

Camperdown, who last won the title in 1982, have been playing well this season and are highly favoured to win today's encounter.

Christopher Bender, coach of Camperdown, who was a member of his school's winning team in 1982, said he is very optimistic of victory.

WE ARE FOCUSED

"This game is the most important one of our season so far," said Bender. "We have prepared hard and we are focused and the team is ready to play.

"They (Excelsior) are behind and we expect them to come at us. We just have to soak up that first pressure, and, hopefully, we can hit them on the counter," he added.

On the other hand, Daniel Riley, coach of Excelsior, said they will be going all out for victory.

"Our approach will have to be totally different in terms of getting the ball in the back of the net," said Riley. "We have to be a lot more clinical in front of goal. We have scored more than 40 goals this season but we definitely need to score some more now."

Meanwhile, the Wolmer's Boys and Denham Town encounter is expected to be an intriguing contest as both teams are evenly matched in all departments.

However, the Alex Thomas-coached Wolmer's Boys, who are vastly more experienced than their opponents, will start as the slight favourites entering today's contest.
