Corey Bennett, head coach of Hydel High School, says his team is very determined and confident that they can erase their 1-0 deficit against St Andrew Technical High School (STATHS), when both schools clash in today's return game in the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup competition at Calabar.

The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. in the opening encounter of double-header that will see St Jago tackling Holy Trinity at 3:p.m.

St Jago leads the tie 1-0.

Hydel, who reached the quarter-finals of last year's competition, failed to hit the target in the opening match after squandering a number of clear-cut chances against STATHS.

However, Bennett said they are very focused and he is confident that they can overturn the deficit and win today's encounter.

CONFIDENT

"This game is a final for us, so we have to ensure that we come out on top," said Bennett.

"It is one goal, so we have to be careful because we have to push, but we have to ensure that we don't let in any goals at the same," he said.

"They are confident because they that they can score despite STATHS having one of the best goalkeepers in the competition, but we have to players to do it and I know that we can do it," Bennett said.

Hydel rest their hopes in the hands of standout players Jermaine Reid, Damion Gentles and Kemar Reid to lead their charge to victory.

However, STATHS' coach, Phillip Williams, said he is very upbeat that they can achieve a positive result to advance to the next round of the competition.

"It is a slim lead but we plan to preserve this lead as long as possible and also to increase it if possible," said Williams.

"We will be approaching the game as if it is nil-all because we won't change what we did in the first game, and we are quite optimistic that we will get the desire results," he said. STATHS will be led by goalkeeper Jeadine White, Anthony Nelson, Ackeam Brown and Warner Brown.
