Marcel Gayle, assistant coach of St George's College, believes his side's destiny is still in their hands as they seek to book their spot in the semi-final of the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup football competition.

The Georgians are scheduled to play Charlie Smith High, one point, in the final game in Group H of the quarter-final round in at the Stadium East Field at 3:p.m.

St George's are yet to win a game in the quarter-final round having recorded two draws, are tied with Kingston College (KC) in second spot on two points. Camperdown, who lead the group with four points, will battle KC at the Spanish Town Prison Oval, also at 3 p.m.

The Light Blues will enter tomorrow's contest knowing that a victory against Charlie Smith will cement their spot in the semi-finals of the competition.

But they will need to do something they haven't been able to do since the start of the quarter-final round, find the back of the net.

Despite their poor form in front of goal, Gayle is still upbeat about their chances.

"Our destiny is still in our own hands and so we just have to put in the work and ensure we get a positive result," said Gayle.

"I think in terms of our choice and decision making in front of goal, I think we can do a little better. But they are school kids and so we just have to keep pushing them, hoping we can get the desired result on the day," Gayle said.

St George's are also yet to concede a goal in their two games in the quarter-finals and, according Gayle, once his team put away their chances, then they will win the game quite easily.

"They (Charlie Smith) still have chance because they have a point and four points can carry them through, and so we are going to go out there and play because it is like a final for us," said Gayle.

"We haven't given any goals in two encounters and so I know that we have good shape and good organisation and so we just need to get a goal and just win the game," he said.

In the other match in Group H, Kingston College will take on group leaders Camperdown High at The Prison Oval in Spanish Town at 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, in Group G defending champions Jamaica College with four points will tackle Holy Trinity, who are on three points (three) at Calabar, while St Andrew Technical oppose Wolmer's Boys (zero) at Winchester Park.
