Godfrey Drummond, head coach of Red Stripe Premier League outfit Reno, said he is very disappointed with his team's ninth position on the points stable, this after the completion of the first round of games on Sunday.

The Westmoreland-based Reno, who are currently on 11 points, ended the round with a 1-0 defeat to Humble Lion The defeat was their sixth of the round. They have recorded just three wins and two draws from their 11 matches.

"I must say that I am bit disappointed because we were aiming for about 18 to 20 points," said Drummond.

"We gave up the initiative and so it just mean that for the second round, we have to be a bit more decisive and we have to be a bit more ruthless," he said.

"I don't think the team is playing badly, but we have just been woeful in front of goal because we outshot Humble Lion nine to four on Sunday, but they were more clinical in front of goal, so they were able to win the game," Drummond said.

He added that his club has not been playing badly so far this season, but the team has been letdown due to poor execution from their attacking players.

"My club definitely need a striker. We just don't need a centre forward. We need somebody who is clinical, because if we are creating four or five chances and you are not taking them, it doesn't augur well for my team. It is just putting pressure on the defence," said Drummond.

"The players have to be more responsible and we have to be more efficient. We are trying our best to deal with the attacking part of the team, because defensively we are quite sound," he said.

"We have a few strikers coming from high school and one of them is Renaldo Webster from STETHS (St Elizabeth Technical High School), so we should be a bit more ready for the second round," Drummond reasoned.
