Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw helped the Reggae Girlz to a 3-2 win over South American side Chile in their second of the two friendly internationals series at the Montego Bay Sports Complex last night.

Assistant coach Andrew Pryce is proud of what they have achieved from this series and is just looking forward to what will come going forward.

"It was really good to get the girls into a game situation, and I think they handled themselves pretty well. They played against a very competitive team that is ranked 34 in the world. There are still some things that we need to iron out but with more time we will. Otherwise, I think the girls put in a good shift.

Shaw showed she meant business from as early as the ninth minute when she cutely slipped a shot between the legs of the Chile custodian but the ball was cleared off the line.

easily slot home

Chile was, however, first the take the lead when Maria Jose Rojas easily slot home a low cross to the keepers left.

The brilliance of Shaw gave the Reggae Girlz the equaliser a minute later as she dismissed two defenders before calmly slotting the ball into the bottom left corner. She continued to terrorise the Chile defenders as she powered her way to a second beating the keeper.

Karen Araya drew things level for the visitors 13 minutes into the second half. But then the young exciting striker Jody Brown, who came on as a substitute, secured victory for the Reggae Girlz.
