Smith’s hat-trick spurs Newman’s Construction

Andre Smith netted a hat-trick for Newman’s Construction to beat Shoppers Fair 5-1 in action from the S&G Manchester Business House Football Competition.

Newman’s Construction moved to maximum nine points, five ahead of Black Brothers on four; Alpart Jisco B, three; and Shoppers Fair, one.

Black Brothers clipped Alpart Jisco B 4-3 in the Group C other game.

Alwayne Williams hit a brace for the winners while Steron Hylton and Andre Beckford got a goal each.

Kevin Bailey and Gary McDonald were the scorers for Alpart Jisco. The third was an own goal.

In another game played at James Sports Park in Mandeville last Thursday, Jermaine Whyte also scored a hat-trick for Master Mac to beat Northern Caribbean University (NCU) 4-2.

Rushane West got the other goal for Master Mac, which pushed them to six points, one behind Taxi Friends, seven.

Taxi Friends and Sutherland Royal B, four points, ended 0-0.
