There will be 14 finals on today's opening day of the two-day NCB Intercollegiate Track and Field Championships at the National Stadium at 1 p.m. The GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport will be hoping to retain both male and female titles after convincing wins in both sections last year.

Today will see seven finals on the field, and seven on the track, as defending long jump female champion, GC Foster's Tissana Hickling,will be hoping to defend her title today in the Women's long jump final at 5 p.m. Other field events finals will be Women's Javelin throw, Women's Discus throw, Men's High Jump, Men's Triple jump and Men's Shot Put.

Track finals include the Men's and Women's 100m, Men's and Women's 800m, along with 3000m Steeplechase for both Men and Women.

The preliminary round of the Men's 400m hurdles will be the first running event on the track, while the first field event to take place will be the Men's Triple Jump final at 1:05 p.m.
