BEST

Arnett Gardens

Arnett Gardens' 3-1 win over Portmore United may, in the near future, be looked at as the result that saved their season and fuelled a run to a potential play-off place. That can only happen if they win their remaining three games and results bounce in their favour. They are now in ninth place with seven points and can now only accumulate a maximum of 16 points for the regular season. Whether that total will be enough to get into the play-offs remains to be seen.

Cavalier

After back-to-back draws, Cavalier took giant steps forward to confirming a place in the play-offs with a 3-1 win over Molynes United last Saturday. A Collin Anderson brace extended their unbeaten run to four games and they are now in third place on 12 points with three games to go. If they can win at least two out of the last three, it should be enough to contend for the title next month and they are within a shout of getting a first-round bye as well.

Waterhouse

Waterhouse head coach Marcel Gayle said that they were due for a return to the win column. They managed to get a crucial 2-0 win over Mount Pleasant that puts them in fifth place with 10 points with a better goal difference than Tivoli Gardens and Dunbeholden, who are also on 10 points. If Waterhouse want to secure a place in the play-offs this season, nothing less than wins in their last three games will be accepted.

Humble Lion

Somehow Humble Lion still have a chance, albeit ever so slight, to sneak into the play-offs. Their 2-0 win over Harbour View was as critical a result as they could have had in a season that has been challenging for head coach Andrew Price in his second year. Their Saturday fixture against Dunbeholden will be the one that could decide their season. While they would need help from elsewhere, they have to take care of their own business. Anything less than three points and they will be mathematically out of the play-offs.

WORST

Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant's 2-0 loss to Waterhouse is a big blow considering that they have now dropped to fourth place with 11 points and are now just a point ahead of Waterhouse, Tivoli Gardens and Dunbeholden. Things are getting a bit uncomfortable for them as far as the play-off chase is concerned. There is no margin for error now as winning their remaining three games will see them in the post-season.

Molynes United

That 3-1 loss to Cavalier is a massive blow to Molynes United considering they were energised by their 1-0 win over Humble Lion the week before and getting a clean sheet. Currently in 10th place with six points and three games to play, they can only get a maximum of 15 points. Their play-off chances are far better than Humble Lion who have played a game more. They have to win their games and get some help from other teams. Their Sunday game against Harbour View will decide their season.

Harbour View

Back-to-back defeats for Harbour View have put them out of the top six, and while assistant coach Sean Fraser says that they will not panic, it will be concerning that against Humble Lion it is the first time they have failed to score all season. They are now in eighth place with nine points and two games remaining. Their play-off hopes could hinge on getting a result against Molynes United.

Portmore United

Portmore United are also a club that are reeling from back-to-back defeats for the first time this season. But unlike Harbour View, they are still in a favourable position to not only book a play-off berth but to also get a first-round bye. But they have played a game more than the majority of the teams. They can't afford another defeat as it could make things very uncomfortable on the regular season's final day.
