JFF mum on Wint resignation
The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) and its General Secretary Dalton Wint are still avoiding to comment on the latter's resignation status.
It has been two weeks since Wint promised to submit his resignation letter to the board.
After an ultimatum issued by the Reggae Boyz to boycott their Concacaf Nations League match against Suriname unless Wint submits the letter, they received a promise of his resignation, allowing the game, and the other against Mexico a week later to go ahead.
The JFF also assured the public that Wint will resign after an emergency meeting on June 6.
"The General Secretary of the Jamaica Football Federation, Mr Dalton Wint, has given his unequivocal and irreversible commitment to submit his resignation from the post," the JFF said. "The Board of Directors of the JFF look forward to receiving the same soonest."
But that promise has not since materialised.
However, when contacted by STAR Sports about this matter and surrounding issues, Wint said he was not ready to publicly address the matter.
"I am not ready to speak on the matter," Wint said. "Probably in a couple of weeks."
JFF president Michael Ricketts also said he was also not ready to speak on Wint's resignation.
The JFF has also not mentioned who it has lined up to replace Wint.
