There were mixed results for Jamaicans at the World Athletics' Continental Tour track and field event at the Olympic Grande Torino Stadium in Bellinzona, Switzerland, yesterday when several stated that they have ended their season.

World Championships' finalist Natoya Goule was the only Jamaican winner in the 800 metres as she stopped the clock at 1:59.05 minutes, to finish ahead of Anita Horvat of Slovenia and Anna Wielgosz of Poland who posted times of 2:00.76 and 2:01.24, respectively.

Damion Thomas ran 13.38 seconds to take second in the men's 110 metres hurdles behind winner Jamal Britt of the United States of America (USA) who clocked 13.18 as Rafael Pereira of Brazil was third in 13.41.

Andrennette Knight ran 52.23 seconds to take third in the women's 400 metres. The event was won by Lada Vondrova of the Czech Republic in 51.60 seconds, with second place going to Laviai Nielsen of Great Britain in 51.72.

Ackeem Blake was out-dipped in the men's 100 metres and had to settle for fourth, after clocking 10.09 seconds. Brandon Carnes of the USA with 10.04 seconds, Ferdinand Omanyala of Kenya with 10.05 and Kendal Williams also with 10.05, took the top three spots in that order.

World Championships' 100 metres silver medallist Shericka Jackson's 11.19 seconds was only good enough for fifth in the women's 100 metres, as Marie-Josee Ta Lou of the Ivory Coast took the event in 10.86 seconds. The top three spots were rounded out by Daryll Neita of Great Britain with 11.00 seconds and Bassant Hemida of Egypt with 11.07.
