Reigning World Championship bronze medallist Rushell Clayton scorched a world-leading 53.72 seconds clocking en route to winning the women's 400 metres hurdles at the Jamaica Athletics Invitation at the National Stadium tonight.

America's Anna Cockrell, who closed the gap on Clayton in the final 50 metres, took second in 53.76 seconds, while Shian Salmon crossed the tape in third spot in a time of 54.57.
