WITH last Saturday's torrid Reggae 6 now history, bettors can recover from the whopping four outsiders which wrecked their bets by making a bulletproof start to Thursday's Emancipation Day card.

Promoted from race four on the overnight programme, Thursday's Reggae 6 opener, an event for four-year-olds, non-winners of two races, tells a tale of inconsistency among the nine runners.

From SLAM DUNK's loss of form this season to MONEY BOX struggling after what appeared a promising maiden victory last August, the nine-horse field appears as unpredictable as the weather during hurricane season.

As such, take distance into consideration and blanket the Reggae 6 opener with horses capable of getting a mile, based on past performances, as far back as one would want to venture in the form lines.

Another tricky event speaks for itself, the first two-year-old race of the season, the BGLC-TOBA Juvenile Dash, Race 1 of the Millionaires Series. Note how champion trainer Jason DaCosta has chosen to play it safe, ensuring LOVISA is made eligible for the $1 million bonus, supplementing the Soul Warrior-Palace Gold offspring by paying $150,000.

DaCosta's other runner in the event, MISS MONEYPENNY, Bern Identity-Pomeroy's Secret, a $4.2 million buy at TOBA's 2023 Mixed Sale, automatically qualifies for the $1 million bonus, payable to the winning owner, having passed through the sale.

Though Anthony Nunes' PLATINUM PRINCESS hasn't done anything flashy at exercise, remember these are unproven two-year-olds, any of which can turn up on the day in a blink sprint at three furlongs straight.

EL RAPIDO should be trusted to prove better than fellow American, MOTIVATE ME BABY, who he had easily beaten at five furlongs straight on debut. EL RAPIDO bolted when leading his follow-up race at seven furlongs, obviously a big baby with loads of talent reverting to five furlongs straight.

It's hard to separate CAPTAIN FANTASTIC and HAPPY FORCE in the fifth, both having shown ability and working reasonably well for the fifth at six furlongs.

Close Reggae 6 bets with PRINCESS RIA after her fighting second to STORM BOY at seven furlongs on July 13, finishing ahead of most her rivals, who face a steep task of turning the tables at six furlongs.
