Tia Clayton advances to 100m final at Olympic Games
Tia Clayton will be the country's lone representative in the final of the women's 100 m, which is set for 2:20 p.m. Jamaica time.
Clayton, competing in semi-final three, crossed the line in 10.89 qualifying with the third fastest time while Shashalee Forbes finished sixth in semi-final one in 11.20.
Three-time Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who was set to compete in the second semi-final, didn't face the starters.
St Lucia's Julien Alfred heads into the final with the fastest time, 10.84, as she won semi-final two.
