Alana Reid, Burger King’s latest brand ambassador

Olympian and World Under-20 100-metre champion Alana Reid is now a brand ambassador for fast-food giant Burger King.

The one-year deal was signed earlier this week.

"Hey everyone! I'm beyond excited to announce that I've officially become a brand ambassador for Burger King! This is such a dream come true for me, and I can't wait to dive into this delicious journey with all of you," the sprinter shared in an Instagram post. "I'll be sharing exclusive deals, my favourite menu items, and some behind-the-scenes fun! Thank you all for your support, and get ready for some mouth-watering content that'll satisfy your cravings! Let's dig into this adventure together!"

The 19 year old made her first official appearance as brand ambassador on Tuesday at the launch of the 2024 Burger King 5K and Relay at Jamaica College.

Reid will be actively engaging participants in exercises and other activities at the event, scheduled for Sunday, November 10.

Reid said she hopes this achievement will help to inspire other aspiring and upcoming athletes.

This achievement will be added to her many accolades, which include representing the island at her first Olympic Games in Paris last summer, where she was part of Jamaica's 4x100m relay team that finished fifth.

The former Hydel High standout then went on to the World Athletics Under-20 Championships in Lima, Peru, and claimed two gold medals in the 100m and 4x100m relay.
