"Baby Nembhard Loading...," that was the simple caption Sunshine Girls captain Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard posted on her Instagram page when she made the announcement last week Thursday.

"We're expecting 2025 to be great," while revealing that she along with husband Ashani Nembhard will welcome a child next year.

This is Fowler-Nembhard's second child and her announcement was followed by a number of well wishes, including from Jamaica Netball.

"Congratulations to Sunshine Girls skipper and hubby on their pregnancy announcement. Jhaniele we are super happy for you. #babyonboard," the fraternity posted.

Her Australia-based team, West Coast Fever, also congratulated her and her family on the news.

"Everyone at Fever is absolutely thrilled for Jhaniele and her family. We've always known that Jhaniele has dreamed of having another child, and seeing that dream come true is simply wonderful!" The team posted on Instagram.

Fowler-Nembhard is the Fever's leading goalscorer and is also a five-time top goalscorer in the Australian Suncorp Super Netball League

Fowler-Nembhard's pregnancy announcement also explained her withdrawal from the recent series between the Sunshine Girls and the England Roses, where her health was said to be a priority. Jamaica were winners of the series.
