The much-anticipated Dream XI T10 cricket tournament, organised by the Jamaica Cricket Association, is set to bowl off today at Sabina Park.

Six competitive franchises, Surrey Royals, Surrey Kings, Surrey Risers, Middlesex Titans, Middlesex United Stars, and Cornwall Warriors, will vie for glory over the next two weeks. Each team is scheduled to play at least 10 games, culminating in the grand final on January 25.

Defending champions Surrey Kings will begin their campaign with a clash against the Middlesex United Stars at 2 p.m. in the second match of a double-header. Earlier in the day, at 11:30 a.m., the Surrey Royals will take on the Cornwall Warriors in what promises to be an exciting opener.

Wayne Lewis, the new manager of the Surrey Kings, expressed confidence in his team's readiness to defend their title.

"As defending champions, we know we'll be targeted. However, with match-winners like our captain Jeavor Royal leading the charge, we're determined to put in strong performances throughout the tournament."

Fans can expect to see some of Jamaica's top cricketing talent in action. The Surrey Royals boast West Indies players Nkrumah Bonner and Odean Smith, while the Surrey Kings' line-up features West Indies batsmen Jermaine Blackwood and Kirk McKenzie.

The Surrey Risers will showcase young talent, including West Indies under-19 player Jordan Johnson, while the Middlesex Titans will be led by Jamaica's national captain, John Campbell. Additionally, West Indies seamer Marquino Mindley will don the Cornwall Warriors cap, adding further star power to the competition.
