Close Reggae 6 bets with Uncle Harry
Sunday's Reggae 6 opener at five furlongs straight could be a tricky affair with the speedsters drawn to the far rail whereas the closers occupy the high ground, the faster stands' side, from where their mid-race pace could have them travelling stronger close home.
KP CHOICE and YELLOWSTONE, drawn at stalls two and three, respectively, would have been natural choices were they on the opposite side of the draw enjoyed by TAURUS BOY and POWER RANKING.
TAURUS BOY races out of Adrian Prince's in-form barn whereas POWER RANKING, who now has the handicaps in his favour, just failed to nail KP CHOICE at the trip last out.
Anthony Nunes' ANOTHER ONE, a half-brother to CHINITA ESTRELLA, gets the nod in the third, Mercury Sprint at five furlongs straight, having galloped 1:01.0 from the gate two Saturday past.
GELROY appears home and dried in the fourth at five and a half furlongs after being caught at the wire by MISS COUPERSLAND out the straight last week. However, RUBY'S LIGHT, who was almost six lengths behind at the finish, could turn the tables with a half-furlong farther to travel on the round course.
ZION'S PRINCESS and SIX AVENUE should both be carried in the fifth whereas debutant UNCLE HARRY a Bern Identity colt out of Long Running Train, a decent staying mare in her time, gets the appropriate trip on debut among three-year-old maidens going seven furlongs in the Reggae 6 closer.
