Defending female champions Edwin Allen and male champions St Jago High dominated yesterday's second and final day of the Central Athletics Championships at G.C. Foster College of Physical Education and Sport, successfully retaining their team titles.

"This serves as a platform heading into the Inter-Secondary Championships, as the team that wins here often goes on to win at 'Champs'."

St Jago's first-time boys' head coach, Jermaine Phipps, praised his young team.
