Gov’t doesn’t understand COVID-19

June 04, 2020

Dear Pastor

I have every belief and confidence in the Good Lord to take total control of this coronavirus, not the Government. The Government does not seem to understand how serious this virus is.

I think we need to be sympathetic towards our Jamaican brothers and sisters abroad who are experiencing challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We must always remember that many of these people contribute significantly to the economy of the country by the remittances they send back to Jamaica.

Yes, we are here in paradise Jamaica, so let us pray for those who have to be away for a better life. I am sure many of them would love to be in Jamaica but because of circumstances, they can't.

May God watch over them all.

I.

Dear I.,

First of all, let me say that I believe that the Government has taken this pandemic seriously. I also believe that the Government should be given credit for the measures it has taken to restrict the spread of the virus.

Some of the measures have deeply affected the business sector but we know that it was done in the best interest of the people of Jamaica. I believe that whether one supports the Government or the Opposition, one will have to admit that although mistakes were made, the Government has tried and continues to try.

Pastor.
