Neighbours think I’m a lesbian

Dear Pastor,

I came to this district to live after my husband died. And, sir, one of my neighbours told the people that I am a lesbian without her having any proof. Up until now, hardly any one of them talks to me.

Pastor, that is because I try to live a decent life. But I leave them all to the Lord; He will take care of them.

Dear W,

Some people just spread rumours, and generally we think of rumours as things that are no good. People believe untruths much easier than the truth. But don't worry, God will take care of you.

You have strong faith in Him. So don't give up on God. I offer to you Psalm 37. Read it day and night, especially when you are discouraged. And don't forget to go to church and serve the Lord.
