Desperate to finalise my divorce
Dear Pastor,
I am stressed, depressed and tired. I started my divorce proceedings from May 30, 2019 at the Legal Aid Clinic in Kingston and up to the present time, I can't get my divorce.
My husband was served the papers in 2020. They don't even call me to let me know what is happening with the file. I have to call or go there myself. Two weeks ago, the paralegal and I went to the justice of the peace (JP) to get the papers signed. He said he couldn't do them right away, so the paralegal told the JP "I will pick them up tomorrow". I called her a week after and do you know what she said to me? She said the JP could not find the papers and she was going there to help him look for it. Pastor, I am asking you to pray for me.

Dear N.,
I don't want to comment on what has transpired between the lawyers and yourself. I do know, though, that when many people are anxious to get their divorce, they are very critical with the lawyers, or the lawyers who are handling the matter for them. I can only encourage you to work with your lawyer at the Legal Aid Clinic and always be reminded that these things take time.
Pastor
