In love with my bosses’ friend
Dear Pastor,
I am 24 and I have two children. I am working as a helper. My bosses treat me well. They had a guest at their house for a week and this man fell in love with me.
It did not take me long to fall for him too. He was very charming. He told me that I should not be a helper. I told him that I did not have any education and I had to support my children.
Whenever he went out with my boss, he brought gifts. My boss' lady told me to be careful. They used to leave him at the house. So I would take care of him. I made him breakfast and lunch and I took care of his room. He was the easiest man to fall in love with. He told me that he would like to marry me and take me to America. I told him I did not believe him. He said he would not fool me, he is Jamaican and he would like a Jamaican wife. He said he had four children, but three of them are adults.
I gave this man my body and he asked me where I learned to make love. I told him I learned from my children's father. He said I was fortunate because before coming to Jamaica, his divorce came through. My boss told me that he was speaking the truth. He sent me money every month when he went back to America. He told his children about me and I talk to them on the phone.
This man wants to come back to Jamaica for two weeks to take me on the north coast. My bosses told me that they will give me permission to go. But they said I should not rush into marriage because when he is in America, I don't know what he is doing up there because he loves women. He said he does not have anybody there, but I do not know whether I should believe him.
S.K.
Dear S.K.,
I suggest that you listen to your bosses. They are his friends and they know more about him than you. This man has nothing to lose. He can get you pregnant and walk away and you will be left with another child. So listen to what they are telling you and be very careful.
Pastor
