Reggae singer JahDore is looking to put the raps on his 2015 island tour this weekend.

The tour which began on October 16 is an effort on the entertainer's part to bring back some attention to live music.

The singer told THE WEEKEND STAR he has a special appreciation for live music and wanted to do something to shop his love for it. "I wanted to help promote live music in Jamaica and that's why I started the tour," he said. "There are so many venues in Jamaica where people can go and enjoy live performances but not a lot of people know about these venues so the tour was to help highlight these places while doing what I love."

The tour titled Earthstrong Tour, is also in commemoration of his birthday which he celebrated yesterday. Already the tour has had stops at Triple Century Sports Bar and Grill, Countryside Club, CafE Delite, Bush Bar Geejam in Port Antonio and Ocean 11 in Ocho Rios.

The tour is expected to make stops at Jungle Fyah in Portmore tonight, Jamnesia in Bull Bay tomorrow, Michelle's Great House in St Elizabeth on Sunday and Bourbon Beach in Negril on Monday.

The singer is currently promoting his new single Free which speaks to person's right to freedom of movement and takes inspiration from what has been going on in the international media involving persons crossing borders into different countries and being denied entry. He is also still promoting Fake People which he says has been getting good feedback since its release earlier this year. The singer is looking forward to a tour of the US as well as Europe in the coming year.
