Cherine plans to be extraordinary at Redbones

Dancehall soul diva Cherine is promising fans that her showcase set for Friday, December 18 is going to be an extraordinary and entertaining spectacle, the perfect gift for Christmas.

The Cherine Xperience is set for the Redbones Restaurant on Argyle Road in Kingston, where the world-class performer intends to pull out all the stops.

"The Cherine Xperience is a 90-minute live reggae, dancehall soul on dub concert. It's really up close and personal, very intimate, very real, very interactive and soulful. The music, of course, is the focus and there is no topic that's off the table, so the content is really recommended for the ages 18 and above," the captivating entertainer said.

Cherine, who in September completed a couple of successful performances in Johannesburg, South Africa, will be backed by her band that has not played in Jamaica for a while now and is confident they will impress while expressing themselves in what is

expected to be a unique musical experience.

"For the first time in three years, I will also be playing with my new touring band. This is a group of extraordinary musicians who have played with some of the biggest names in reggae and even R&B around the world," she said. "We have Junior 'Bird' Bailey on drums, Darren Jack on keys and Lindon Webb on bass as well as I have a lot of legendary musicians an iconic reggae artiste who are going to be making special appearances throughout the night."

She plans to also introduce a few emerging acts including Nina Carle, a reggae and jazz singer with a "beautiful voice"; Ch4se, a lover's rock singer as well as Peter Gee, a roots/reggae artiste. Each will perform short sets. The entire package, she said, will be well worth the price of admission that has been set at J$600 pre-sold and $1200 at the gate.
