If you haven't heard about the Magnum King and Queen of Dancehall (MKQ) competition before, it is quite likely that you became knowledgeable about the show after a verbal confrontation ensued between two of the show's personalities two weeks ago live on air. After a week of suspension each for the public row, both host Yanique 'Curvy Diva' Barrett and resident judge Miss Kitty, the 'Fluffy Diva' return to the show today.

The show's executive producer, Mark Kenny, said after negotiations with stakeholders involved, an amicable decision was agreed upon. Kenny added that the two-week saga appears to be over as both parties will report for duty as per usual and carry on the show's work.

Kenny told THE STAR that both parties have been reinstated, taking care to disclose that the conditions of each party's contract since the initial incident are confidential.

When our news team contacted Claire Grant, the general manager of Television Jamaica (TVJ), she was not immediately available for comment.

The MKQ saga sent tongues wagging following a two-minute long debacle between Miss Kitty and Yanique, who at the time appeared to have differences. Miss Kitty eventually sent out a statement apologising to viewers, sponsors, and contestants. And on Saturday, both Miss Kitty and Yanique apologised simultaneously via a pre-recorded video that was aired before the start of the show.
