Forty-five-year-old Dwayne Gibson, who is charged with wounding with intent, was offered a bail when he appeared before Acting Parish Court Judge Janelle Nelson-Gayle in St Catherine.

As part of the bail agreement Gibson is required to report to the Linstead Police Station every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. He is also ordered to be fingerprinted and is prohibited from entering Portmore while the matter is before the court.

The case is set to be mentioned again on June 5.

Allegations are that on March 22, Gibson and the complainant started to argue after goats reportedly strayed on his farm. A fight ensued in which Gibson allegedly attacked the victim, injuring his hand.

A report was made to the Portmore police and Gibson was arrested following an investigation.

He is being represented by attorney Earl Hamilton.
