In the midst of the soca-heavy Easter weekend, Aidonia kicked off his birthday celebrations at Island Village Beach in Ocho Rios with a high-energy party, and devastatingly short concert that went into Sunday morning.

Though gates opened at 10 p.m., even with the dance raving until 3 a.m., there was no sign of the 'man of the hour'.

DJs Kaz and Lollipop manned the turntables in the early hours, until DJ Oga (flown in from Japan) took the stage.

Regardless of his heavily accented Patois, the deejay had the crowd raving. The foreign deejay was followed by the humorous selector stylings of Tripple X then Bishop Escobar.

In addition to Island Village show, the second event was held in Negril Sunday night. The Kingston leg of Aidonia's celebrations are scheduled for Saturday, April 7.

Following that, Aidonia will host a fourth birthday event at the end of April in New York.

It was not until 3:40 a.m. Sunday that the stage was opened to the artistes. Govana was up first, to the delight of the party patrons.

After the Shallow Grung singer let off a slew of hits, Aidonia joined him on the stage with a vibrant performance of their collaborative hit, Breeze.

Flocked by members of the 4th Genna squad, Aidonia performed in full-form. The artiste even removed his sunglasses, peering directly into the eyes of his fans as they sang along.

Not long after the signature phrase "Zagga Zow!" erupted from side-stage and Beenie Man arrived to close the show.

However, before he could begin a second song, police ended the event a few minutes after 4 a.m.
