Ritson tries to be 'Different'

Dancehall newcomer Ritson is declaring his unique style with his new single, Different. The song was written by the artiste and produced by his label, Ritson Records.

The Montego Bay native said the feedback has been good.

"People love di song because dem tek it as if the song is about dem, saying their style is different, their dressing is different. So di song bring out a lot a personality inna people who never even show dat kinda personality," he said.

Ritson, who was a star rugby player at Green Pond High School, expressed that music has always been his first passion.

"Right now, mi a work on shooting the video for Different, and this video a go different," he said. "It's gonna be like a short film, nothing normal. Plus, mi busy in di street with promotions, and I also have my own merchandise because in music, you have to expand your brand outside of just singing songs. We have caps and shirts, and people get them signed as well while we promoting."

The artiste is also looking to produce his debut album by the end of 2018.

"I just want people to believe in themselves and invest in their talent. I have formed my own label, and I am putting out work under my own timing as a result of that. We can't sit down and wait on people to buss us because time is not waiting on us," he said.
